What do you do when you know you are meant to write? To share ideas. To encourage people to become well, to find peace, and to discover glimpses of joy in ordinary days, yet have no idea where to begin, who to reach, or what to say.
Every day, I hear the whisper: Be authentic. Be vulnerable.
Cut the noise. Speak your truth.
But that is exactly what terrifies me.
Because the moment I speak my heart's deepest cry, the "what ifs" become real. The walls I've spent a lifetime hiding behind begin to fall, and suddenly everyone can see me.
The truth is that I don't want to be seen.
I have lived much of my life in the dark, believing it was safer there. Yet I have this quiet, persistent sense that God is calling me into the light, not because I have all the answers, but because someone else may need to know they are not alone.
So here I am.
Afraid. Imperfect. Still figuring it out.
I don't claim to be an expert. I am simply a fellow traveler learning that healing is rarely a straight line, that faith often grows in the questions, and that joy can coexist with grief.
If these words encourage even one person to take another step toward hope, then my fear will have been worth facing.
I'm Shannon. Thank you for being here.
Let's walk this road together.
